RGA Environmental Inc.

The FountainGrove Inn

Hotel & Conference Center

Santa Rosa, California

Greetings from PASMA North!

We are very excited about the conference program we offer you this year.  What surroundings could be more beautiful than the heart of Northern California’s Wine Country?  Rolling hillsides covered in vineyards make for an idyllic location.

As for presentations, we have selected a wide variety of speakers and topics aimed at the more experienced safety professional.  (I think we are all fairly well versed in Office Ergonomics 101 by now.)  Sessions include wellness, financial management from a safety perspective, heat stress and the ever popular topic, mold.  Member agencies will also be presenting their successful programs.

Of special interest this year is the opportunity to take the first class in the National Safety Council’s Safety Professional Series, “Introduction to Safety.”  Those new to the field of health and safety are strongly encouraged to attend to develop a basic understanding of a very large and complex field.  Offered by one of our co-sponsors, the Sacramento Safety Center, attendees have the opportunity to take the full day course on Tuesday, October 1, from 9m-5pm.  Course completion will count as credit toward the National Safety Council’s Safety Professional Certificate.  There is no additional cost for the class.  Class size is limited so if interested, please make sure to indicate such on the registration form.

We are particularly excited about our banquet keynote speaker this year, Dennis Baker, Organizational Development Manager with E&J Gallo Winery.  Gallo has been recognized for its outstanding achievements in Behavior Based Safety.  Through their collaborative efforts between management, staff and labor, injury rates have dropped dramatically.

Once again, we look forward to you joining us for what will prove to be an exhilarating week of informative presentations, networking and camaraderie.

See you in October!
